Web Trends Report

Description

Create a website that demonstrates at least one of the trends identified in the report.

Reflection Statement

Before this lesson plan, I was aware of some of the emerging web trends. I learned about a lot of new trends, like dark mode, typography animation/kinetic typography, and minimalism. It was fun to learn about these trends. I love one-page websites, horizontal scrolling, and dark mode. I was able to learn more about these topics. I would still like to learn about how to employ the new trends in future websites.

Mobile Site Development and Touchscreen Project

Description

Take a website of your choice and employ the techniques you learned to either make it mobile ready or enhance the responsiveness of the site.

Reflection Statement

Before this lesson plan, I have previously made my websites mobile responsive. I try to make all my websites responsive. I did challenge myself a bit with the project. I took the basic layout and added a few things to the website before I made it responsive. In my project, I demonstrated using flexbox to make my website mobile responsive.

Horizontal Scroll Website

Description

Demonstrate your self-directed learning by innovation and initiative in the expansion of your skill base. The project has to focus on something you have not done before, it is an opportunity to focus your attention and time on something you find intriguingnand want to learn more about.

Reflection Statement

I have always loved the horizontal scroll website, but I never made one. This is definitely a hard task to accomplish. This is a little more complicated that the regular website. You have to design the different pages, then have them scroll horizontally. I was able to complete a simple scroll website. This type of website is mainly for artists or photographers, due to the scrolling. I wanted to do a website without a lot of photos or content. I just wanted to try to complete the basic layout. I loved learning this trend.
